About: It is definetely compulsary to know what are we talking about. Vogue is an American monthly and lifestyle magazine and it is a worldwide famous fashion magazine. I would say that it is a mostly women magazine which is more interested in the topic of women than in men. And I think that this is one of the main reasons why they sre so famous. This mazagine is interested in many topics and also bring intersting and awe news about them. Those topics are:

• Fashion
• Beauty
• Culture
• Living
• Runway

History:

(1892-1905)

People say that says a lot about anything and believe me when I say that vogue's history is a little bit unique in it's own way. This world class magazine is is 126 years old. Please don't say how, just say WOW!!

I have to say, this is gonna be interesting. So let's talk about it's history. This magazine was founded in 1892 in New York by Arthur Baldwin Turnure(interesting name). He was an American Bussiness who was getting bored and then suddenly an idea popped in his head, that why not create something that talks about everything. And ladies and gentlemen that was what exactly happened. He created Vogue. 

It was first a weekly newspaper in New York. The first issue was published on December 17 of that year with a cover price of 10 cents(equivalent to $2.85 in 2019).

Turnure wanted to create a publication who would show the people the new side of the world which no one has never seen. So the magazine mainly focused on the people of upper class like:

• Their habits
• Their leisure
• Their social gathering
• The clothing they wore etc.

to say it was about upper classes so that the people of middle class and lower classes will be eager to be like them and the magazine would be famous.

This idea was unique which took the magazine to the greater heights. I think that this was also the starting of something new so that people would also be interested in things like this but overall good worker Turnuer bro!!

 

These are some of the first covers of the magazine. I would also like to tell that at that time photography was not famous as much as painting or that photography  didn't exist at that time either way it was the era of painting so for the covers world class painters were called and they were given the task to make the covers of the vogue publication.

(1905-1920)

I promise I will not bore you with the history, so it's just a brief discription that I think is important for you to know. So it was purchased by Conde Nast in 1905 before a year of Turnures death. It was then changed into a unisex magazine foe women and he started to sell them overseas in 1910. after that it's price also increased. It's first international addition was realeased in Britain and France and due to this, this publication touched greater heights.

Contents:vogue represents many contents and it's now difficult to say the vogue is just famous of its modelling. It has its foot in every field. You should know that Vogue means'Style' in French. If you want information related to fashion then you should definetly read Vogue cause that is the thing your pretty mind is looking for.The content for fashion that are featured in Vogue are as follows:

1.Technological:  Yes, not only fashion but this magazine has its tight hold on the technical sector also. Google patnered with Vogue to feature it's Google Glass in September 2013 issue and this was a new path for the Vogue. They featured Google Glass in 12 pages and it was amazing.

2. Economic: Wintour's 'Fashion Night' was launched in 2009 with the intention of kickstarting(process to do any work or activity quickly) the economy by following the financial crisis of 2007-2008, bringing people back into the retail enviroment and donating to the the various charitable causes.

3.Social: The Met Gala is an annual event that is hosted by Vogue to celebrate the opening of Metropolitan Museum Fashion Exhibit. The Met Gala is the most famous event in the field of fashion which is attended by A-Class celebrities, politicians, designers and fashion editors.

4. Political: In 2006, Vogue published the front cover featuring the burkha, and also writin and article on Muslim women. I think that it was just amazing that they did this because with the sense of fashion people must be aware about what is happening around the world. after this they also donated to make a school of fashion for Muslim women in Afganisthan.

5.Music: After this now I think why people prefer Vogue over others, I know this is a little bit out of fashion like the fourth one but Vogue took the interview with different singers, music composers and artist etc.
