Tokyo Olympics: Highlights
The Tokyo Olympics are taking place this year regardless of the Corona virus threat. I guess that this is the hype of the olympics, people are die heart fans of the olympics. This year many players between the age of 12 to 18 also took part showing the world that age doesn't matter when it comes to chasing your dreams.
2. Philippines first Olympics gold medal
Tom Daley incredibly proud to say "I am gay and an olympic champion." He also says that he hopes LGBT member can see that you can achieve anything.
Their is also the hype of the new sports like skatebording. The sports this year are lifting people's spirit as this is the entertainment that people are getting after a long time of quarantine. Players from different sre also super thrilled to show what they are capable of and that they deserve what they came so far for. So let's look at some eye catching highlights of the Tokyo Olympics
1.Teenage girls won the medals for skateboarding in women's street event
- Momiji Nishiya is 13 years old and respectfully won the gold medal for the marvellous performance she presented. A citizen of Japan made her country proud.
- Rayassa Leal is also 13 years old Brazil skateboarding player presenting her country who won silver medal.
- Funa Nakayama is 16 years old representing Japan and earning the bronze medal.
Phillippines earned it's first gold medal in the women's 55-kg weightlifting. Hidilyn Diaz made her country proud by creating history for earning her country's first ever olympics gold medal in any sport after winning the women's 55-kg weightlifting event.
