The ancient problems about menstruation which are still going on

When I was a kid, I didn't get a single thing about menstruation and as a result I used to laugh about such topics when I heard someone talk about it. I ignored it but my school knew that ignorance was big no,no.Starting from the sixth grade we learned a lot about the new problem introduced in our little world known as Menstruation. We feared it and always thought who was going to be the next victim.

Our school and parents really helped us to understand that their is nothing to be feared about and we can do whatever we want without any fear or barriers. Unfortunately, there are so many girls and women out there who still fear it and thus to hide their pain. So, I really want to talk about it and want many people to acknowledge the problem of this unrequired secret.

Let's focus our torch of enlightment to some important points:

1.Social Support: The problem arises as in many societies girls are looked down if they are having periods. The main reason, lack of education. The importance of education is still unknown to many people. It is one of the many reasons girls refuse to participate in social activities. They are not allowed to participate in any other religious activities. This is very rude and women should not be treated this way.

Community should be involved and leaders should spread awareness keeping the challenges in mind.

2.Being shy does not help: Due to the lack of knowledge a mountain of stress and fear is built around girls when they reach their menarche. Resulting in the feeling of rejection from the world.

This need to stop right now.  Spreading knowledge and awareness about the changes due to puberty to helps break the wall. Boys and girls should be aware of the changes in their body.

3.Lack of services won't do: Although majority of us have the excess to sanitary napkins, tampoons, toilets and fresh water. But that doesn't allow us to ignore the fact that their are still girls out their that use unhygenic clothes in place of sanitary napkins because of either the unavailability in the ot there cost.

We should join hands together with the organisations who helps these girls and provide necessary things for them like unicef and many others.

4. Other than sanitary pads: Some problems arises with some women and girls that they don't feel comfortable with sanitary napkins but they still use it because of the little knowledge in the field. There are many other alternative and better options like tampons and menstruational cups.

They are not known or prefered by people as they are little bit expensive. To cope with this problem many organistions work with private companies so that they could provide these things at reasonable rates.
