Highlights of G20 summit 2023

The G20 Summit 2023 is the 18th meeting of the Group of Twenty (G20), an international forum for the governments and central bank governors of the world's largest economies. The summit is being held in New Delhi, India, on September 9-10, 2023. 

 The theme of the summit is "One Earth, One Family, One Future". The leaders of the G20 countries are expected to discuss a wide range of issues, including the global economy, climate change, food security rand the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 One of the key outcomes of the summit is the induction of the African Union (AU) as a permanent member of the G20. This is a significant milestone under India's G20 presidency, as it will strengthen the voice of the Global South in the forum. 

Other important decisions taken at the summit include the launch of a rail and port connectivity network named as India-Middle East-Europe-Economic Corridor (IMEC) was announced on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in New Delhi when a memorandum of understanding was signed between the European Union and seven countries, namely India, the US, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), France, Germany, and Italy. The United States, India, Saudi Arabia, and Europe; the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance; and a call to end the "global trust deficit". 

 The G20 Summit 2023 is a significant event that will have a major impact on the global economy and the future of the planet. The decisions made at the summit will shape the course of the world for years to come.
